My 10 Resolutions

It's such an interesting word. Here are some of the meanings:

*a formal expression by a meeting; agreed to by a vote
*the trait of being resolute; "his resoluteness carried him through the battle"
*finding a solution to a problem
*settlement: something settled or resolved; the outcome of decision making;
*display; the greater the resolution, the better the picture
*Solution: a statement that solves a problem or explains how to solve it.
I just had to include these because in some form or another...I can relate.
**the subsidence of swelling or other signs of inflammation (especially in a lung)
***(music) a dissonant chord is followed by a consonant chord

I don't really make resolutions at the beginning of the year. I consider myself a work in progress all year long.
The word resolution sounds so final. But this year....I have made 10!

1. I would like to enjoy life more.
2. I would like to conquer my fears.
3. I would not like to weigh any more, or any less.
4. I would like to spend more time with family.
5. I would like to be a better friend.
6. I would like to be a better mother.
7. I would like to be a better wife.
8. I would like to be a better student.
9. I would like to be a better christian.
10.I would like to be a better person all around.

If I can achieve these things....I think it will be a good year!

I agree with you. I'm not big on making resolution, because they do have that finality sound to them...plus I ususally forget about them by february anyway. However, ur #2 -conquering your fears, is something that i have said I'm going to work on this year. (you'll have to read my blog to get the full explanation).
thanks for sharing love u so much.

oh, and I wanted to let you and everyone else that reads ur blog/comments that I've risen from the dead and I'm back...to the blogger world. I'm in the middle of posting so keep ur eyes open and I'd appreciate ur comments.

I believe that when something is "final" then it is over.

I think my conquering fears might be a little different than yours. ;o) But.....I have plans in April to conquer the first one...but you'll have to stay tuned to see what it is. I've really been working on it and hope I can trust God enough to just let go and let Him work.
I'm am and always will be....a work in progress.

Love you Hannah!

You're getting a cat in April?

Um....no! It's bigger than a cat!

And I'm not letting it out of the bag! LOL!

I gave up on making resolutions, because I can never stick to them for very long! I tend to attempt to make changes in small, baby steps with the intention of gradual long-lasting change. Doesn't always work, but I try. I am thinking of trying prayer journaling this year. We'll see how it goes.

If it's not a cat then it must be an aquarium.

UM...NO PETER! ;o) That truly will have to be one of the last things I can conquer. After watching "When Sharks Attack" by myself on New Years Eve...that set me back! WAY BACK! I will say...the older I get, the more embarrassing that is too.

I will tell you that the weekend of April 3-5 is my target date for the first one....could be life...or death....depending on if I have a heartattack or not...and it has totally put Chad into complete shock that I am working on this. It IS a resolution. I want to resolve them and put my complete faith and trust in the Lord. If I truly believe that....then I have nothing to fear. Not even life....nor death. We'll see what happens.

Brenda, my list of possible songs for me & Cori…any ideas or preferences?
(by the way, when we pick one I’d love ur help with harmony and stuff…esp. since Cori has a hard time holding her part when I want to drop to harmony. Plus I could use a few more pointers to better my harmonization skills.)
• Hope Now, by: Addison Road
• I Need You to Love Me, by Barlow Girl (which I have a track to w/just back ground music &…etc.)
• Porcelain Heart, by Barlow Girl (btw both of these Barlow Girl songs are from their cd Another Journal Entry) *I think this would be a good one. It’s elegant and I know Cori knows it…she know all the Barlow Girl songs from this CD
• Set the World on Fire, by Britt Nicole

K, I guess that’s it. I narrowed it down quite a bit based on how well I knew the song and based on the fact that u said it should sorta be elegant-ish. Hope to hear from u soon.
Thanks so much for what ur doing. It means a lot.
Luv ya!
